It moves beneath the surface in search of the intimate essence of the Calabrian territory and how this essence reveals itself in the expression and character of the land itself. The subject and symbol of this work of documentation, exploration, and photographic interpretation is the licorice root.

The search for the fundamental and invisible elements of the territory is entrusted each year to three young authors whose different styles come together in a single, cohesive body.

Born as a pilot project in 2024, this new edition extends to the exploration of a broader territory and the subtle traits that make it distinctive and unique.
